Method of producing bright steel from rolled steel wire, in which the diameter of the rolled wire is first reduced by passing the same through a calibrating device, preferably a reducing mill, whereby internal stresses assymetrical with respect to the wire axis are produced in the wire, thereafter removing peripheral surface portions from the wire and subsequently straightening the wire, and subjecting the wire before removing peripheral surface portions therefrom to a radial bending force rotating about the axis of the wire to plastically deform the latter to thus reduce the assymetrical internal stresses to thereby improve the perfect roundness of the finished product.

The invention relates to the processing of: wire, in particular, to methods for producing calibrated rolled wire products. There is a known method for manufacturing rolled products from rolled wire, which includes the steps of calibrating the workpiece with decreasing its diameter, stripping and straightening l. However, in the manufacture of a workpiece having a variable diameter, after straightening, they have the size tolerances necessary for their subsequent processing. The purpose of the invention is to increase manufacturing accuracy by relieving internal stresses. The goal is achieved by the fact that before stripping a plastic bending of the workpiece is performed around the circumference. The billets, after calibration, are subjected to high heat or sonication. The reduction of nonrotationally symmetric stresses from internal forces arising in the workpiece after the diameter reduction process is carried out before stripping by plastic bending around a circle. The correct bodies are set so that each diameter of the workpiece passing through the correct machine bends to the plastic zone. The deformation of the diameter, due to the release of internal stresses, is then removed on a center-turning lathe. With the subsequent proper deformation process does not occur.
